The feast of Corpus Christi

The feast of Corpus et Sanguis Christi, the feast of the Body and Blood of Christ is the only celebration in the Catholic Church when Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament is taken outside the doors of the church in a sacred procession for all the world to see. It is the custom in many countries for the people to create altars for the repose of the Blessed Sacrament.

On June 23 after the 11:00 AM mass, we will celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi with a special procession. The altars will be placed in St. Basil Hall.

Each altar will serve as a worthy throne for the Blessed Sacrament. Benediction and a special prayer will be offered for that country and its people. During the procession we will take our Lord to each altar asking for his blessings on the world.

The entire community is invited to join in the procession.
