My Dear Friends,
Jesus is the Son of God who lived a sinless life then died for our sins, “God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were sinners Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
God calls us to be reconciled to Him and to our community. The sins must first be confessed and sufficient penance fulfilled then, and only then through the love of God can absolution be sought.
The children, our children, God’s children need our prayers and are worthy of our love as a community of the faithful to take actions to bring healing to what is broken in our Church communities.
We pray for our Holy Father, Pope Francis, Cardinal DiNardo, bishops, priests and all those who will prayerfully make decisions to address the issues of abuse. May God give them the wisdom and courage to be the hands and voice of Jesus Christ.
We pray for the victims and their families. May God grant them the peace to heal their pain.
We pray for our Church. May we who are God’s family come together with prayers of encouragement and understanding for all who are suffering.
I ask the Community of Saint Anne to take a moment to join your prayers with mine so that together, as a community we can express our love and support to all the victims of this tragedy. In Jesus’ Name.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Al Sinasac, CSB
Pastor, Saint Anne Catholic Community
