The Pastoral Council is a group of Saint Anne parishioners who advise the Pastor on matters that affect the spiritual and material wellbeing of our Community. The twelve lay members represent the parish so that through their dialogue with the Pastor the mission of St. Anne can be fulfilled. Through members’ interaction with fellow parishioners and involvement with Church ministries and activities it serves as a voice for the St. Anne Community. The Council meets one Saturday morning a month. Once a month highlights of Pastoral Council meetings are published in the Bulletin.
Who are the Pastoral Council members?
The Pastoral Council is comprised of the Pastor, his parochial vicars and twelve lay members drawn from all aspects of the parish (representing the diversity of Saint Anne). The lay men and women are chosen by discernment (normally held in the Spring) to serve for up to three years. Each year four members rotate off Council as four new members are discerned on to it. New members bring fresh insights and new energy: this keeps the Council active, relevant, and focused on our diverse needs.
The current lay members are Saul Keeton (Chair), Roberto Antonio, Rosario Beltran, John Burger, Lance Dundee, Cornelia England, Miki Fine, Greg Foley, Linda Howard, Mario Madrid, Charlie Turner, and Tim Tynan.
How can I contact the Pastoral Council?
Pastoral Council members can often be found in the courtyard or outside in the front of the church after most masses: each has a gold colored nametag indicating his/her name and their membership on the council. Messages may also be left for the Pastoral Council president at the church office, or e-mailed to Pastoral Council.
