St Anne Catholic Church
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121
Non Sacrament Volunteer Opportunities
Adult Faith Formation Volunteers
This ministry requires an interest in the education of adults in the Parish. As a volunteer, you
would work with a team to decide how we can present interesting workshops and classes to the
Parish usually on Monday evenings with an occasional Saturday for special events. Team
meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month. A knowledge of good Catholic speakers
and keen eye for current topics would help you in this role, but is not absolutely necessary. For
more information please contact Arlene Holm at aholm@saintanne.org
St. Martha's Helping Hands - the Ministry who helps everyone!
Volunteering for this ministry requires a love of cooking, people and fellowship. St. Anne has a lot
of events where a good crew in the kitchen makes our lives so much easier. You would help with
food preparation, serving, cleanup and fellowship. Marriage prep classes, Adult Faith Formation,
Couples Retreat and Baptism could all use your help if you wish. It could open the doors to meet
new friends and even new recipes. For further information, contact Arlene at
aholm@saintanne.org
Marriage Preparation Presentation
Volunteering in this ministry requires the ability for couples to speak in public about a select
subject that is part of the program for Marriage Preparation. Pre registered engaged couples
must attend two days of classes in order to fulfill the requirements as set for by the Archdiocese
for preparation before marriage. There are five or six sessions a year and the time required is
about 2 hours of presentation time. For more information, contact Mary and Steve Gangelhoff at
gangelhoff@sbcglobal.net
Foccus Couples
This ministry requires the ability to develop a relationship with a couple who will soon be getting
married. Couples who are married for five years or more will find this to be a very rewarding
ministry. The engaged couple takes the Foccus questionnaire. The Foccus couple then reviews
it with them discussing where there may be some disagreement or areas the couple may wish
to discuss further. Training is required, and the time commitment is about five times a year. For
further information, contact Joan O'Leary at joleary@saintanne.org
Baptism Presentation
The Archdiocese requires that couples attend two consecutive classes to prepare for
the Sacrament of Baptism. We need volunteers to greet couples and present the
program. All presenters would be trained and given the materials for topics such as
stewardship, discipleship, the symbols of the Sacrament or Scripture. Volunteering in
this ministry requires your attendance five times a year on a Sunday afternoon from
2:00 - 4:00 p.m. For more information please contact Arlene Holm at
aholm@saintanne.org
